Verdio Cirrus

Character Info:

Verdio is a Griffinith, a bird-like man. Griffinith are born with the potential to use white magic, but not all of them do. They live in cities in the sky, which are levitated by their magic. Few of them become warriors, while most become priests or other holy figures. They have to forms, the traditional human, and their natural bird-like human form. The bird like form varies, ie; human body with bird wings, bird head with human body, human body with talons, etc. Griffinith live twice as long as humans do, so they age twice as slow.

My character is a Griffinith with a bird-like form of: human body and head, with bird wings and talons (which can morph to feet at will) He is about 150 pounds and stands 5'11', with blue eyes, and light blue hair. His skin is pasty and very pale. His features are soft on his face, like most of his kind. He has long flowing hair that reaches to the edge of his spine. He wears cleric-type armor, and robes, and sometimes uses a helmet.

His equipment includes, a bow with arrows (almost all his kind are highly skilled in using this weapon) and various stones to evoke spells and increase his magic power. For close range he uses a Talon-Guard on his left hand (a shield-like weapon which could also be used to attack) and a dagger in his right hand. The dagger is placed in a sheath on his belt when not in use. He also uses various projectiles (spike like objects) that he keeps in hidden pouches around his body.

Like most of his race, Verdio is highly skilled in the white-arts. He can use white magic, in the form of supplemental and healing spells. He is not too skilled with any types of attack magic, but he has potential to learn to use them. His wings also allow to fly, and his bird attributes include better vision than humans. He is not very good in hand-to-hand combat, but he can hold his own in a close range fight.

The Griffinith race tends to be arrogant, and so my character too looks down upon other races, especially the human race. Although he is arrogant, Verdio is kind-hearted, but doesn't show it much. He is sympathetic to other races, other than humans, on the outside, but secretely he believes he is far better then them all.

History:

Verdio was born in a sky-city called Airia. He grew in this sky city and was taught by a local priest how to use white magic at the age of 12 (6 in human years). His father taught him how to use a blade. His mother taught him how to skillfully use a bow. He lived a quiet life in the majestic sky-city. As he reached his adolescent age of 24, his father became ill, and later passed away. His mother couldn't bear the loss of her husband, so she too became ill over time. When Verdio became 30, his mother died. Verdio, tired of living in Airia because of his memories and the boring life he lived, decided to leave Airia and go on adventures. He wanted to make a mark on the world, and so he left Airia begining his adventure.
